A true encapsulation of the disco movement; the clothes, the hair, the music, the character. Start in 1964 in New Jersey under the guidance and mastery of Robert Kool Bell. Kool was the glue of the band which changed sound and personnel over the course of its existence. Starting out as jazz men they moved seamlessly into the funk and soul that made them most famous. 1974’s “Jungle Boogie” launched them into the disco movement. They had other well known songs such as “Get Down On It” “Lady’s Night” and “Celebration” however these all came from 1979 to 1984 when they were in the high point of their popularity. Following the end f the disco era, they died hard and still tour now.
