In 1976 he arrived in London, where, unable to secure any record deal, he self-produced together with his friend Alec Costandinos the first major single and subsequent album, “Love in C minor.” It was 1977 and the debut album sold 10 million copies, and the success continued with the following albums, among which “Supernature” will be remembered, also a track resampled a million times to this day. He collaborates and produces with and for many artists (we recall in ’77 “Garden of love” with Don Ray).<\/p>\n
Cerrone, to this day, still produces music, and in addition to this continues to perform sold-out concerts. On October 7, 2007, with Nile Rodgers of Chic, he organized a party in New York for the 30th anniversary of disco, attended by tens of thousands of fans of the genre, where the most famous DJs of the past and present (like Morales and Sinclair…) and stars of that still glorious moment performed live. For Cerrone, one definition only: Highlander!!!<\/p>\n
