“Disco music is the music of fun; it is for people who want to go out, meet in clubs\u2014which over time have become larger and larger\u2014see the DJ play records, and dance. It is for those who want to have fun and escape from everyday life. Perhaps that is why they like me too. Disco music is not where I started. I come from hip hop; only later did I discover disco music, using it in my tracks. My life is incredible, I sleep very little, 4 or 5 hours a day… from normal, it suddenly became huge all over the world.
\nI would say I have been very lucky; I have been able to do what a DJ does today.
\nI don’t know, I don’t know who Bob Sinclar is today… he is the one right here next to me. My real name is Christophe; I took the name Bob Sinclar from a French film. As soon as I heard it, I said to myself: ‘that is a superstar name…’ I still didn’t know what I would do; I don’t know if I can call myself a superstar today, but I can say that I have worked very hard.”<\/p>\n
