In the early 1970s, Harry \u201cKC\u201d Casey and Richard Finch seized the moment of the emerging Disco scene, forming a band designed to have its own unique style, distinct from all others: the goal was to be funky enough to succeed in clubs, while simultaneously ensuring the melodies were “hits.” Between ’75 and ’76, they achieved three number ones on the American charts: \u201cGet Down Tonight,\u201d \u201cThat\u2019s the Way,\u201d and \u201cShake Your Booty.\u201d<\/p>\n
Their success continued in the following years with \u201cKeep It Comin\u2019 Love,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m Your Boogie Man,\u201d and \u201cBoogie Shoes\u201d (which also appeared in \u201cSaturday Night Fever\u201d). Their last noteworthy hit in 1979 was \u201cPlease Don\u2019t Go,\u201d a ballad covered by many, including Italy’s own Fiorello…<\/p>\n
After 1980, they effectively “broke ranks.” Casey went solo but, aside from 1982’s \u201cGive It Up,\u201d there were no more chart-topping hits\u2014just numerous productions and occasional guest appearances reminiscing about the good old days!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
