The band “Kool & The Gang<\/b>“, with one hundred million records sold, is among the most prestigious in music history.<\/p>\n
Kool & The Gang<\/b> was formed as a group in 1964, their music has influenced three generations with a unique blend of Jazz, Soul and Funk<\/i>. How can we not mention their debut album “Kool And The Gang” (1969) or “Let the Music Take Your Mind” (1970).<\/p>\n
Soon their Funk<\/i> ceased to be music exclusively for street kids and became the soundtrack of disco<\/b> dancing. We are in the seventies<\/b>, the era of house parties with the family living room converted into a dance floor, where the special effects were nothing more than simple light bulbs flashing on and off.<\/p>\n
In the legendary eighties<\/b>, Kool & The Gang<\/b> are still there, accompanying us to the notes of Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, and the beautiful Too Hot, also covered by the extraordinary Lisa Stansfield.<\/p>\n
From the ’70s<\/b> to the ’80s<\/b>, things changed. Discos dressed up emulating the style of Studio 54<\/i>, the lights became increasingly sophisticated. Mobile phones were still science fiction, something similar was only seen in the Star Trek series, there was no such thing as saying “I’ll call you when I arrive” but you had to arrange precisely at X o’clock at the usual place, CDs were unknown, you danced in the evening from ten until 1:30 AM at the latest, or on Saturday afternoon. This wonderful group formed by Ronald Bell, his brother Robert “Kool” Bell and friends Robert “Spike” Mickens, Dennis “Tee Dee” Thomas, Ricky Westfield, George Brown, and finally Charles Smith would give life to one of the most enduring and prolific bands from the ’70s<\/b> to today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
