The era of social circles: “We would meet in the square and then ride around on a Ciao or a Vespa”
“The legendary ’70s were years of social connection among young people. They were the years of friend groups and the first radio stations. There was a desire to be together, have fun, and flirt—perhaps with American girls on Sunday afternoons at Space Electronic in Florence (which for many was just a garage, but for us, it was paradise). The music of those years featured vocals and was made for dancing. I remember that mixing records back then was absolute chaos. A special mention goes to the legendary Giga, who didn’t mix; he would speak as if on the radio and then play the records.”
