So here we are, Discolover’s, today is the big day of the first I Love Disco Web Event dedicated to the great Lucio Battisti.
But if you are wondering why we chose this date, the answer is simple: on December 15th 1970 ‘Emozioni’ is released, the third album by Lucio Battisti, published for the record company Dischi Ricordi.
It is an anthological album, which collects the first songs by Battisti and songs from the last five singles, and it is the first Battisti album to reach the first place in the chart (it remained there for two non-consecutive weeks between January and February 1971). The twelve tracks of 33 rpm were Battisti’s first great hits, starting with ‘Fiori rosa, fiori di pesco’ and ‘Acqua azzurra, acqua chiara’ winners of the Festivalbar, up to the classic ‘Emozioni’ and ‘Mi ritorni in mente ‘. A historical album, therefore, which collects memorable songs from the production of Battisti and Mogol, and which have remained etched in the memory of the Italian public. I could list them all, but now Discolover’s is up to you to let loose, you have until midnight today to tell us your memories related to Battisti’s songs, your favorite song, in short … your EMOTIONS!
