One of the biggest acts of the Disco era, starting as a Gay group but have been liked by both gay and hetrosexual communities alike. Early in their career, their success made them a poster boys of the gay community. So called because of Greenwich Village, the center of the gay community in New York, their recognisable costumes parody stereotypes in US Society, had massive hits with “YMCA”, “Macho Man” “In The Navy” and a cover of The Pet Shop Boys’ “Go West”.
