They joined forces artistically in the mid-1960s, and for a decade and beyond achieved great success as songwriters for artists of the caliber of Ray Charles, Diana Ross, and Marvin Gaye.
In 1977, one of their greatest successes, “Found a Cure,” emerged, but always as songwriters who penned two true milestones of Disco Music: “I’m Every Woman” for Chaka Khan, and “The Boss” for Diana Ross.
