HOT CHOCOLATE

British, they started in 1969 in London through the vision of Jamaican-born singer Errol Brown and bassist Tony Wilson from nearby Trinidad. After paying their dues, the two achieved moderate success with a reggae-style cover of John Lennon’s “Give Peace a Chance.”

From this point on, things became easier, and in 1975 they occupied the top position for many weeks with “You Sexy Thing,” and scored another hit shortly after with “Every 1’s a Winner” and “So You Win Again.” Their best album remains “Man to Man.”

Less success in the following years, but their music remained strong, and they still managed to achieve some satisfaction until the mid-1980s with “Girl Crazy,” “Chances,” and “It Started with a Kiss.”
