STUDIO 54 TRIBUTE, Saturday, March 11, 2017, the great I Love Disco winter 2016-7 event dedicated to the legendary STUDIO 54 of New York.
A tribute to the famous New York club that opened its doors back in 1977 and established a new way of clubbing and organizing entertainment worldwide. This year, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of Studio 54, one of the most talked-about venues on the globe, we recreated its exuberant and extravagant atmosphere for one night.
An evening to amaze and be seen. The discolovers, as usual, showcased the dress code required for entry: eccentric, exuberant personalities, bordering on excess, all with a touch of transgression and nudity. The door selector limited entry, in true Studio 54 spirit, only to the most eccentric and original discolovers. The evening began with a theatrical performance produced by I Love Disco that told the story of the birth of ‘disco music,’ a genre born from the fusion of different musical styles such as Gospel, R&B, Soul, and Funky.
Canale 5 dedicated a segment to the evening, enriched by Claudio Cecchetto who improvised a live ‘Gioca Jouer,’ sending the thousand guests into a frenzy.
